Exterior painting,
brushed and rolled

Many exterior painters spray. We brush and roll instead: no overspray drifting onto brick, windows, or cars, and a coat that lasts longer than a sprayed finish. Ron Robinson is on every job across Dallas-Fort Worth, from the first scrape to the final coat.

What’s included

Pick any combination. Your estimate covers exactly what you choose.

Full exterior repaints

We repaint everything on the outside of your home that’s painted: siding, trim, eaves, and doors. First we scrape off any peeling paint and fix damaged wood, so the new paint lasts.

Trim on brick homes

On most brick homes, the trim is most of what gets painted. Fresh trim around the windows, doors, and eaves changes how the whole house looks.

Front doors

We paint or stain front doors. It’s a small job that makes a big difference, since it’s the first thing people see.

Fence & deck staining

Texas sun dries out and grays bare wood. A fresh stain protects it and brings back the color.

From customers

Ron is considered by me to be an old school painter. He was very thorough while painting the exterior of my home in Plano. He was very diligent about all of the prep work required to have an outstanding finish product. His company still paints with a brush as opposed to spraying. Once again the job was completed timely and thoroughly. I have recommended Ron’s company to other neighbors in my neighborhood and they have appreciated the quality of his work as well. Ron also cleaned our carpets and seamlessly replaced some tile in our kitchen to perfection.

Ideal Painting & Make Ready provided excellent service and we would use them again! We wanted someone who would get things done quickly and professionally with little to no interruption. Exterior and Interior painting was performed in early November. Extremely please with how everything turned out! They exceeded my expectations!

Common questions

What affects the cost of exterior painting?

Size is part of it. So are the condition of the existing paint, any damaged wood, and how hard the surfaces are to reach. Note peeling paint or rotted trim in your request so the estimate covers it.

Why not spray the exterior?

Outdoors, a lot of sprayed paint drifts away as overspray, onto brick, windows, cars, and landscaping. Brushing and rolling works the paint into the surface, and it lasts longer than a sprayed finish.

Can you repair damaged wood before painting?

Yes. Damaged trim and boards are repaired or replaced as part of the job, before any paint goes on.

How does weather affect scheduling?

Exterior paint needs suitable weather. If you have a date in mind, include it, and we’ll talk through availability and how conditions may affect the schedule.

Are estimates free?

Yes. Send what you can, including rough measurements. We verify measurements during an on-site visit, and once they’re confirmed, the price on your estimate is the price we charge.

Which areas do you serve?

We’re based in Mesquite and serve Dallas-Fort Worth, including Dallas, Garland, Balch Springs, Plano, Richardson, Murphy, Arlington, Cedar Hill, Sunnyvale, and Fate.
